Bourn School is currently aiming to transform an old red bus into an amazing Reading Bus, which will be our fiction library and a lovely place for the children to spend time snuggled up with a good book!

At the moment, the bus is on our playground and is in the process of being cleaned and stripped, ready for the electrics to be fitted, floors to be laid, book shelves to be built and the transformation of it into somewhere magical for the children.

This project is even more special to us, because we are dedicating it to the memory of Lyla Glennen, one of our pupils who died suddenly in April, aged only 5. This year has been very difficult for all of us at Bourn School but this project is something positive that is bringing together the whole community to help us achieve our dream.

If you are able to help in any way, please contact the school by emailing office@bourn.cambs.sch.uk.

If you are able to donate money to help with the costs of the project, or buying the books, we have a Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/bournreadingbus.

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

Laura Latham, Headteacher.
