Sports Club Awards 2006

Awards for the 2005-2006 season were presented to the junior members. In tennis these were;
Girls 14 & Under Trophy Winner Laura Taylor
(Maureen McGregor Cup) R-U Autumn Elbourn
Boys 14 & Under Trophy Winner Jack Reed
(Jim McGregor Cup) R-U Joey Tranham
Boys 10 & Under Trophy Winner Nicholas Taylor
(Bourn Pewter Cup) R-U Henry Lyster

Bourn took part in a number of Cambridgeshire Mini-Tennis tournaments with Kate Lyster and Owen Bourne winning both girls and boys red competitions at Bourn in October and Josh Morrow, Corin Pearce, Owen Bourne and Kate Lyster coming 3rd in the orange mixed team competition at Papwoth. Three awards were made in football; Tom Blair and Matt Haynes won the senior and junior kick-up competition, respectively, and Lewis Maude won the coaches award for most improved. In Cricket, Nick Taylor was presented the coaches award for his all round skills with ball and ball. This year the prestigious Cyril Crow cup which is awarded to the junior member for sportsmanship and commitment was presented to a well-deserving, all-round good egg Autumn Elbourn.
